IMDG’s mission is to build a self-sustaining local economy through the creation of business opportunities, jobs, and resource development.

Today, IMDG and Tribal Members are working together to bring about true, generational change and economic prosperity to the Fort Belknap Indian Community.

Mud Lake Iron Works produces metal iron art made from recycled farm machinery parts and new iron. We sell garden flags with our holders that are made in the US by the Toland Company. All the other items are made in our shop at our farm North of Havre.

Originally started in May 2016 as a way for two friends to work together. The upstart produced first-year sales of $85,900 out of the back of a pickup truck.

In response to customer needs Northern Lights Roofing LLC was closed with the exiting partner leaving. Northern Lights Roofing &amp; Consulting LLC evolved in early 2017 to become a private company and expanded to meet the ever-expanding needs of our customers.

Concerned about the quality of the next generation of roofing contractors, the company started training apprentices to meet those future needs in the local area. Several former employees have started their own businesses through training provided by their time working for us.

Today, Northern Lights is a roofing leader in the commercial and industrial market covering North Central Montana from Kalispell to the North Dakota State Line to the Greater Great Falls area.
